Final Rhode Island High School Football Rankings

Division I Super Bowl champ Bishop Hendricken has finished the year as the #1 team in the final Rhode Island Media Top 20 High School Football Poll.

Hendricken beat former #1 La Salle 17-14 on Saturday. Division II state champ Chariho finished #3.

Mount Pleasant Wins Back-to-Back Division IV Titles

For the second straight year, Mount Pleasant is the Division IV Super Bowl champs.

The Kilties beat Central Falls 22-13. Mount Pleasant was led by Emmanuel Marsh, who scored two touchdowns, one rushing and one passing.

Charilo Captures Division II Super Bowl on Kickoff Return

16 seconds after Central fans thought their team took a big step toward winning the Division II Super Bowl, Chariho High's Colton Place put a pin in the Knights' championship dreams.

In the fourth quarter, Central erased a 20-13 to take a 25-20 lead with 4:13 to go when Mike Washington scored on a short touchdown run. However, on the ensuing kickoff, Place took it 98-yards to the house for a 26-25 win for the Chargers.

Hendricken Wins Back-to-Back Super Bowls

For the second straight year, Bishop Hendricken had to come back from second half deficits to win the Division I Super Bowl.

Game MVP Ryan Brannigan threw a TD pass with :55 to play to give the school a 17-14 win over top-seeded La Salle.  The Super Bowl win avenged a September 16th regular season 39-14 loss against La Salle.

Both teams finish with 10-2 records.

Rogers Wins Division III Super Bowl

Rogers captured the Rhode Island Division III Super Bowl with a 27-7 win over Middletown Saturday at Cranston Stadium.

Rogers defense held Middletown to only 58 yards.  The Vikings finish the year with a 10-2 record, while Middletown ends at 7-6.
